RHS 2018 Britain in Bloom

"Best Small Town"

On August 6th Kingsbridge was judged as a National Britain in Bloom Finalist, representing the South West in the small town category.
The Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom judges, who came to our town, said that the visit “started with a wow” and was followed by “a continuous stream of highs throughout”. Their report said that “the Bloom team, led by Graham Price, demonstrate exactly what Bloom can achieve in ten years - you have completely transformed your town. “The inspiration and dedication not only of the Bloom team, but the close partnership and support from the town council, local businesses and sponsorship, has made this possible.”
The prestigious RHS awards event was held at the Waterfront Centre in Belfast on 19th October, five KIB members attended and it was an evening to remember. There were award winners in each category, ranging from gold to bronze.
The judges gave GOLD AWARD to Kingsbridge In Bloom as Best Small Town in all categories for:
“We really hope that the support that we receive and growing pride in our town will continue into the future.”
