Name: jim freeman - Title: my garden display of Plants -- Location: lion close in Kingsbridge
Name: gill matthews - Title: Patio, Pots, Pond and Profusion of Plants -- Location: Redford Estate in Kingsbridge
My aim is to cover every square inch of soil and wall with plants giving an abundant and natural effect. The colour scheme is pastels and soft reds with splashes of white and yellow apart from two small, separate 'Hot Corners.' The back garden is divided into two garden rooms: the patio and the grassed area. The view throught the patio arch takes the eye to the central urn then onto the arbour at the end. The patio houses far too many pots and planters with annuals and herbs whereas the focus of the grassed area beds is more on a range of varied foliage plants. Provision for wildlife includes; a birdbath, patio pond, ground level water dishes, bird feeders and insect hotels. I am growing beans, tomatoes, spinach and a selection of salads including watercress which is new one for me. My garden is my pride and joy so I hope you enjoy your virtual garden tour.
